# How to delete files or directories from your website using the File Manager in cPanel.

Here is how to delete files or directories from your website using the File Manager in cPanel at dotCanada.com:
1.	Log into your dotCanada.com cPanel account.
2.	In the Files section, click on the "File Manager" icon.
3.	Using the navigation pane on the left, browse to the directory where the file(s) or folder(s) you want to delete are located.
4.	To delete a single file: • Right-click on the file • Select "Delete" from the context menu
5.	To delete multiple files: • Check the box next to each file you want to delete • Click the "Delete" icon at the top of the File Manager
6.	To delete a directory/folder: • Right-click on the folder • Select "Delete" from the context menu • Note: Deleting a folder will also delete all files/subfolders inside it
7.	dotCanada.com's File Manager will ask you to confirm the deletion. Review carefully and click "Delete" to proceed.
A few important notes from dotCanada.com:
•	Deleted files/folders cannot be recovered, so exercise caution.
