Creating Directories in cPanel
Log into your dotCanada.com cPanel account.
Under the "Files" section, click on "File Manager".
Navigate to the directory where you want to create the new folder. This is usually the "public_html" folder for your website files.
Right-click in the empty space and select "Create Directory" or click the "Create New Directory" icon at the top.
Enter a name for your new directory and click "Create New Directory".
Managing Directories
• Renaming a Directory
Right-click on the directory you want to rename.
Select "Rename" from the menu.
Enter the new name and click "Rename Directory".
• Deleting a Directory
o Right-click on the directory and select "Delete".
o Confirm you want to permanently delete the directory and its contents.
• Uploading Files to a Directory
Navigate to the directory where you want to upload files.
Click the "Upload" icon at the top.
Select the files from your local computer.
Click "Open" to begin the upload process.
• Downloading a Directory
Right-click on the directory.
Select "Compress" to create a ZIP archive.
Once compressed, right-click the ZIP file and select "Download".
By creating an organized folder structure in cPanel's File Manager, you can keep your dotCanada.com website files neatly arranged for easier management and maintenance.
