How to point your domain to a new web hosting server

Here are the steps to point your domain to a new web hosting server cPanel at dotCanada.com:

Log into your domain registrar account and go to the Domain Manager.

Locate the domain name you want to point to the new server and click on the "Manage" button next to it.

Scroll down to the "Name Servers" section and select the option to "Use Custom Name Servers."

Enter dotCanada's name servers provided In your welcome email:

• ns1.dotcanada.com
• ns2.dotcanada.com

Click "Change Name Servers" to save the new settings.

It may take up to 48 hours for the domain name servers to fully propagate across the internet. During this time, your domain may intermittently point to the old and new servers.

Once propagation is complete, log into your new web hosting account's cPanel.

In cPanel, go to the "Domains" section and click on the "Addon Domains" icon.

Enter your domain name and click "Add Domain."

Your domain should now be pointing to the new web hosting server's cPanel where you can:
• Upload your website files
• Create email accounts
• Set up databases
• And manage other hosting services

At dotCanada.com, we strive to make the domain management process smooth and hassle-free for our customers. If you need any assistance, our support team is available 24/7.
